PVTQ is a certification mark owned by Tranquality, a Division of LTAC Global, and has been submitted to the US Patent and Trademark Office for protection. A certification mark is a word, name, symbol, or devise used by someone other than its owner to show that the goods or services of authorized users meet specific standards, regulations, or characteristics, such as quality, safety, geographic region, or labor standards.
Using the mark PVTQ is allowed only if the rules established by Tranquality are followed. The basic rule is that the piece of translation output to which it is attached has been verified by a qualified language professional to confirm that it meets the agreed-on specifications. A logo associated with the label Professionally Verified Translation and the mark PVTQ is under development.
